The Florida Holocaust Museum is not the first site travelers think of visiting when on vacation in St. Petersburg, it should not be missed. Upon entering the building, visitors pass through security, purchase tickets (Adults $16, Seniors $14), and receive a device containing narration of the exhibit. There is a 20 minute documentary dedicated to the ordinary people who risked... More

This museum is probably the best in all of St. Petersburg and ranks as one of the three best Holocaust museums in the United States . That rating is more than justified. The interactive exhibits and artifacts tell the painful story of the Holocaust from what life was life in Europe before Hitler's rise to power to the mass murders... More

I have always taken an interest in the Holocaust and felt like I had to visit this museum while visiting St Petersburg for the day. Me, my husband and my father spent a couple of hours looking around the museum and I came away even more interested in the Holocaust than ever before. The museum is very informative and has... More

We were told this is the sixth largest museum of it's kind in the U.S. and we found it interesting and well-done! We went when there was a live docent and she did a super job! However, if you prefer, there are self-guided tours with individual devices. It is always sobering to review the holocaust, but good to know about...especially... More

This museum is quite small but they have managed to pack in a lot of history and artifacts from this era. The staff is very friendly and the area is easy to find.

Very well done museum. This is a smaller scale, manageable, kid appropriate museum. I felt that my kids got a good intro lesson to the Holocaust. I'm a teacher, and I got dike good ideas to bring back to the classroom when I teach my Holocaust unit.

The Florida Holocaust Museum is a very dignifed tribute and memorial to the victims and survivors of The Holocaust. The well-designed exhibits provide extensive historical background and personal accounts of this tragic time in world history. You are provided with a hand-held audio device that gives more information for many parts of the exhibits. I would highly recommend this museum...we... More

I cannot adequately describe the many, many emotions I felt walking through this museum. This was before my time, but I cannot imagine hating someone so much that I would want to eradicate them from the earth! I learned so much from the museum. It's extremely overwhelming and hard to take at times. The museum has done an exceptional job... More

An excellent museum. I've been to several Holocaust Museums and this one was really well done. I learned a lot here too which surprised me. I enjoyed the temporary exhibit "Ravenbruck" which I had never known about. It was very moving. I did appreciate that it was informative, but not so graphic that it was hard to see. They did... We are very interested in history, and our visit to the Florida Holocaust Museum was totally incredible! We learned so much about other areas of the holocaust. We went in at a good time, because there was a man there that was a survivor of the holocaust, and we were so thrilled to hear his story of he and his... More
