Boyd Hill Nature Preserve is an excellent city owned facility with educational displays, a bird of prey aviary, and ranger led tours by tram or on foot. An excellent view of Florida ecosystems

One of the few parks with a trail HILL in the area..look for the large Dinosaur sculptures made from car parts here and there along the trail. The nature museum is very nice too ! I recommend a visit to Boyd Hill !

Much of this nature preserve is open land and small lakes where you can see wildlife including alligators just lying on the ground near-by (can't let the small kids wander off by themselves). They also have an indoor area with some very interesting exhibits and...More

The trails are amazing and a great display of Florida's natural landscapes. The gator babies off the boardwalk were truly a special treat. The children loved the resuced raptors. A day for the memory books.

We went on the tram ride.....our volunteer driver was so much fun, Dave, he showed us far more than we would have seen on our own and then some. Alligators, wild birds, trees/flowers, I loved it.

I'm looking forward to go back when it is a bit cooler since it was about 90 degrees today. I still enjoyed the walk but there was not quite enough shade to make it tolerable in the Florida summer. It is a good sized park...More

No dogs allowed. And wouldn't be fair to the dogs or the resident critters. There are bicycles allowed. So if you're planning some time away from your dog, you can make it a bike outing, too. Enjoy.
