This part of Sanibel is a protected nature preserve. The sea birds sweep down next to you to catch their dinner, dolphins play less than ten feet from you, and so many shells right next to you! The facilities are very nicely kept.

This lighthouse was decorated beautifully for the Christmas season. It is an interesting lighthouse although access for some people may be a little difficult due only limited handicap parking near the lighthouse. There were trails and a beautiful shoreline surrounding the area. A good stop for a lighthouse lover, maybe not so much for others. This is a very beautiful... More

Located on the east end of the beach, has plenty of parking, or walk down the beach from gulf front lodging. Very cool beach with plenty of shells and other interesting goings on.

The lighthouse and history are interesting, but the best part is the location on the southern end of the island. Beautiful beach surrounding and great spot by the pier to watch the pelicans fishing. They are amazing and worth the $4/hr parking fee.

We were able to walk from our condo. It's well maintained and was decorated for Christmas. Look for the osprey nest on top of the house chimney.

Rode our bikes from Tarpon Bay road to the lighthouse and back. Great trip on back streets west, middle and east gulf drives. Easy to avoid traffic and quieter ride. Beach was busy but clean and beautiful. The lighthouse itself is neat to see and read some of the history.

The lighthouse and lighthouse tender home are very beautiful and will preserved. Not only that, the beaches, fishing pier and trails around the property are a hidden gem. Very accessible and very clean facilities.

Loved it, especially at sunset. It was an easy walk from my condo. The history is just wonderful. I'll be back again.

While you can not go inside of this light house the walk along the gulf's edge while sea shelling will be more than entertaining. Beautiful area, seemed to be a bike rental area near by.
