We arrived around 9:30 AM on a weekday. Approx. 20 other beach goers there. Come prepared as there is NO SHADE natural or otherwise. As I am STILL peeling 3 weeks later, I feel compelled to remind you...sunscreen with HIGH SPF and USE IT frequently!! We were on the last leg of a 10 day Key West trip and here... More

Any trip to Sanibel Island must include a day at Bowman Beach. Go enjoy the sea shells - you will be doing the Sanibel Stoop in no time.

Water is very pretty here and there is lots of beach to choose from. The playground is nice but too hot to let kids play on. Parking is very expensive at $4 an hour and I received a $50 parking ticket for being 33 min over... took me about 10-15 min to find where to enter the beach from where... More

A live 12-14 inch starfish was a gem to see. Got this picture and sent it back into the water on its merry... More

We have access to a stretch of little used beach because we stay at West End Paradise. The beach is covered in shells at the high and low tide surf lines. There are eagles and osprey and pelicans flying overhead and diving into the water . We have even had dolphins , sea turtles , and manatees swim by us... More

Nice and clean. Not too crowded! Stayed in Fort Myers Beach but wanted little less crowded beach with blue water. We found it at Bowmans Beach. Perfect!!!

We had heard about this beach and decided to give it a try. Initially we were alarmed about toll and parking charges (6$ toll for the bridge and 4$ per hour parking charge) but quite honestly once you get on to the beach it is heaven and the quality, quantity and just diversity of shells available to collect is mind...
