There are places to stop off the road, not the bridge, actually there are bridges A and B, or 1 and 2, or two built up footers for the bridges over the water.

As a family we stay in Sanibel every year and almost every morning my son and I get up early to fish the several points available off the Sanibel Causeway!

Very pretty drive out to the islands on the causeway. Great view of the bay and lots of places to pull over and enjoy the water and the views. Maybe do a bit of fishing as well.....

We drove over this bridge and enjoyed the views and the time on the island. We loved shelling at the beaches and had a great meal at Doc Ford's. It was worth the cost to drive over the bridge and enjoy the time there. There...More

you will pay 6.00 to get on the island, but it is worth it. The causeway is pretty high so the views are plenty!

The drive across the causeway is beautiful! There are several places you can pull off. You can see boats go by, families having picnics, people fishing, even camping. I love the drive.

The causeway is one of the best places to see the sunset in Sanibel. Unbelievable! But bring your bug spray. Not sure but I think you can swim there too. There are beaches.

Yes, you can pull over on either side. It is very popular on weekends but virtually deserted during the week.

All the beaches on Sanibel are covered in sea shells. The best time to find the large and unique shells is early morning before the gobs of tourists hit the shoreline for the day. Happy shelling. Be sure to take a bag to put... More
