The road narrows from three lanes to one as you pass thru the toll booth, six dollars for a car. A beautiful bridge with beaches on all sides or travel the length of the three causeways to the island and spend the day exploring, shopping,...More

$6 toll (to go over but nothing coming back) and if nothing else is well worth just driving over and back just for the views.

Visited the causeway- packed dinner. We found a picnic table on the beach and ate. You can’t buy those views. Went shelling afterwards and watched the sunset. Beautiful. Worth the $6 to get on the island.

Seen one, seen 'em all. Nothing special about this causeway. Some nice beach areas on each end to relax and have lunch.

Nice view along causeway getting to and from Sanibel Island. There are a few places to stop and enjoy the water/view along the way.

Great views coming on to the island. There are also beaches on each side if you want to stop. Just know that it is $6 cash only to get on.

My wife and I spent a week on Sanibel, and used the Causeway several times. Two lanes over fairly large expanse. May get a little busy at rush hour. Usually a traffic cop at end of Causeway at Periwinkle during busy times to keep traffic...More

Yes, you can pull over on either side. It is very popular on weekends but virtually deserted during the week.

All the beaches on Sanibel are covered in sea shells. The best time to find the large and unique shells is early morning before the gobs of tourists hit the shoreline for the day. Happy shelling. Be sure to take a bag to put... More
