This is a beautiful, well maintained State Park. The workers are friendly, the bathrooms and laundry area are very clean. We biked down to the beach but you can take the tram especially if you are bringing beach chairs, coolers etc. I would come back here again.

We live less than 10 minutes from the campground. We have been a couple of times just to camp. Always clean and well maintained. Would definitely recommend; however, you do have somewhat of a hike to the beach. I believe there are trams available tho. We just have not used them.

We stayed at the Topsail Hill Preserve State Park RV Park in a motorhome. There are also small cottages to rent and a tent campground included in this park. Just past the office as you drive into the park you'll see sites #1-24, which offer little or no privacy. Sites #101-168 are in the 'new loop' with heavy foilage between... More

Gorgeous secluded tent sites with water, electric, clothesline, and firepit. We were there 5 nights and it was very quiet. The walk to the beach isn't bad, but with kids I'd recommend bikes or taking the tram. Close to Walmart and touristy shopping. Bathrooms were clean. My one complaint is I wish there was a set bathroom cleaning time, it... More

The beach was decent but lots of algae. The tram takes you to the beach a mile away. To pay $6 to get in then have the tram take you to the beach is ridiculous. You can not drive up to the beach. It takes FOREVER to get there. The old men that volunteer to drive the tram talk and... More

This is a wonderful campground. The bathrooms are very clean and the showers are hot with great water pressure. There's a playground for the kids and a walk to the beach (about 1 mile). There's also a trolley that will take you to the beach.

This has been a favorite place to stay for many years . We started out bringing our RV then decided to just rent their little cottages instead . It's kept up very well and it has a beautiful 3 mile strip of beach that is undeveloped and clean . One feels very secluded at times walking the trails yet there... More

My husband and I camped here for 3 nights. We found the campground to be very clean and well cared for. The staff was friendly and we felt very safe and secure here. The beach was gorgeous! We enjoyed the biking and walking trails as well. Our only negative would be the shower facilities are poorly designed with no place... More

This park is a gem! I am a new bike rider and wanted to ride a paved trail that was safe and scenic. My husband found this park and it was perfect! We rode 7 miles through natural area and got to see the beach and dunes as well. Plenty of bike racks at the beach. Checked out the campground... More
