We regularly bike and walk at the reserve. There also are camping sites that are nice and much in demand, and a few WPA-built cabins. There are 2 bird watch areas. A gift shop and grill are very pleasant, the latter includes some wraps and...More

Went here for the afternoon. It was $6.00 a car to get in. Lots of wildlife, Gators, Birds, fish and just a relaxing getaway from civilization. We went across the bridge which was cool. They have a snack bar if you go all the way...More

If you are close to Sarasota, either live here or just visiting - the MRST is great for one/two-hour activity. The entrance costs approximately $6 per car with 2 to 8 people. There are few trails you can walk, beautiful views, fantastic plants and animals....More

We stayed in Big Flats campground. The facilities are fine. Lots of wildlife around including deer, raccoons, alligators, and most of all, vultures. I've never seen so many vultures in one place. You are able to walk right up to a large group of them...More

Took the boat ride at the park which was very entertaining with the Captain providing an entertaining dialog during the One hour tour. It is unfortunate that too many parents make no attempt to control their children and talk continuously during the ride making it...More

To visit Deep Hole, you need a free wilderness permit from the ranger station. First come, first served. The gates open at 8 a.m. it is something to see worth getting one. They only allow 30 permits per day! Hope that helps
