I was very disappointed with this aquarium. For $22, it took us 30 minutes to walk through the entire thing. The manatees and otters are across the street...that took about 15 minutes to see. I don't think it's worth the money.

We have visited twice now and my 2.5 year old just loves this place! It's the perfect size for a quick morning activity and you can still be home for nap time. The ONLY recommendation I would give - it would be nice if there...More

This aquarium provides all ages with a great experience. There are all types of sea animals to see and some to touch. It is a working laboratory too so you get to see some behind the scenes work going on. It also undertakes great work...More

After living in Florida for 15 years - I finally made it to Mote. While the whole setting is neat and the fact that it is a Lab and Rehabilitation facility, it left a little bit to b desired. I'm not sure what exactly it...More

We always visit zoos and aquariums while on vacations. Mote Marine Lab is one of the best we've been to in a long time! In fact, we liked it better than the Florida Aquarium in downtown Tampa. It's a smaller aquarium but extremely informative with...More

Took the family (teenagers) to the aquarium while visiting Sarasota. It was a rainy day so I thought it would be a good place to go. It was, but it wasn't up to the bragging rights they told us of being the Top 5 aquariums...More

This is not your typical aquarium. It is also a marine laboratory doing research in all kinds of fields, one of which is sea horses. They supply them to other aquariums around the world, as they are endangered by over harvesting. It's a very educational...More

$18.00 per person but well worth it. By car ,leave St Armands Circle and head for Longboat Key . Just prior to going over the causeway take a right and the Aquarium is on your right. It is well sign posted.

We called the day before to reserve a spot for a boat tour. They took our names and said they would phone us if the tour was cancelled, weather, not enough people and such. I do not think they billed our credit card until... More
