You can take the regular tour or the behind the scenes tour. We recommend spending the extra few dollars to do the latter. Fewer guests to manouver around and also you get to see the top floors of the mansion, including the secret vault. Docents are excellent and have wealth of information about the Ringling history. Was the highlight of... More

This is a remarkable house, built by John Ringling in the 1920s with a great deal of direction from his wife, Mable. We found the guided tour worth the cost, but visitors can also sit on a terrace overlooking the Gulf without paying for admission. The story of the Ringings' entertaining was not quite on the scale of the Hearst... More

As part of the Ringling Estate, it was interesting to see how this famous couple lived. The mansion is beautiful and sits majestically on the water. It topped off our day of visiting the circus exhibit as well as the museum.

I do Love this location and all the Ringling! Book the tours, its worth the little $ extra. Wear walking shoes because there's so much to see. If not, a tram service inside the Ringling can drop you off if you have people who like to ride with you.

Beautiful home of the Ringlings. Visiting it is part of your admission to the museum. If it's really hot take the tram from the museum to the house. It's a nice walk otherwise.

This is a great way to spend the day. The mansion is an amazing look into the lives of the Ringling family. Sitting on the the patio overlooking Sarasota Bay. The art museum houses the personal collection and rivals many art museums.

The mansion was very interesting but the story behind it was fascinating. The guide was terrific, weaving the history into the information about the home and its contents. The story of John and Mabel and their contributions to the development of Sarasota is illuminating. I will return to learn more. Great way to spend a day!

To visit the home of John and Mabel Ringling you must get a separate ticket but it is definitely worth the money. Situated on over sixty acres on beautiful Sarasota Bay this home is breathtaking. Built in the 1920's at a cost over $1.5 Million the home is the one of the largest homes in Florida at over 35,000 Sq... More
