A joy to experience! This company always succeeds, whether it's a full fledged musical or a dramatic play! The creativity that fills this small theatre a a treasure trove. The casting is fabulous! The talent mind-boggling and show stopping! So greatly appreciated by Sarasota theatre audiences, the shows sell out quickly! Become a subscriber like my husband I did after... More

Went last night to see The Wiz. Wasn't expecting a lot-Sarasota does Broadway? It was terrific. The performers were all first rate, excellent singers and dancers. And the venue is a gem. Every seat is close to the stage. A must go to attraction. Sarasota is lucky to have it.

We saw the final showing of "How I Got Over." The performance was high quality and high energy. The acting, singing and dancing were fantastic! We were visiting from Pennsylvania and were pleasantly delighted. Top notch professional production. If we lived in Florida, we would get a subscription!

I was hooked after my first show at WBT, The Color Purple. The professionalism and enthusiasm of the cast and crew was inspiring. In the big-money arts world of Sarasota, this is an often overlooked gem, worthy of your time and patronage. Have been back several times since... A Motown Christmas was a rockin' good time! The theater is small,... More

My wife and I recently saw "Driving Mrs. Daisy" and we're very pleased with the overall experience for such a small theater. We found a small stage so that the home, the office, and the "car" we're all side by side on the set throughout the full 90 min performance. Yet the acting and direction were good enough that we... Our group of 4 visited this small theater on 3 occasions; each performance was wonderful. We saw:" Cotton Club Cabaret", "Motown Christmas", and recently "Driving Miss Daisy". The first two (musicals) were phenomenal - the energy and talent amazing. The cast of 3 for the performance of "Driving Miss Daisy" were superb, and the staging outstanding by displaying all 3... Has both semi- and professionals performers who give their all to entertain and inspire the audience. They do serious work like The Piano Player by August Wilson, and musical reviews like the Sam Cooke Story, and Marvin Gaye. Great singing and dancing also. And not expensive. Definitely worth a trip.

We saw the Sam Cooke story here last night. The acting singing and dancing was first rate. The arena stage immersed the audience in the action and the theatre itself though not attractive from the outside was very nice with new seating. There was plenty of parking and it was a totally enjoyable experience.
