It is a must go if you want to have an informative trip. If you are not interested in history, don't bother to go. Scavenger hunt for kids is fun.

This was the only Capitol building when I first came to Tallahassee in 1974 and so visiting the museum brought back memories of the legislative sessions and Florida politics in the 1970s.

A free museum not too big with just enough information so as not to get bored. Loved the building and learning about American history

Free activity to do in Tallahassee! This building is wonderful restored to its early 1920s version. If you have about 30-40 minutes to spare while visiting downtown Tallahassee, you should stop in here! There are pictures of the rallies and protests that helped shape how...More

Stopped here and the traffic around the area was heavy. Parking around here was difficult to find. After circling the block 2-3 times I finally found a spot. This was a good stopover and the building is incredible. Great tours are given with a lot...More

Toured beautiful old Capitol and received a stamp for my Capital book. Great historical court rooms and various rooms for various eras in history.

Billed as one of the Top 10 attractions, Florida's State Capitol Building in Tallahassee isn't given any useful signage. Not local, from Australia and your GPS is wonky? Tallahassee is University-Centric. All roads seem to lead into and around the University, most road signs even...More

We're so sorry you missed us. Tallahassee's one-way streets seem to be a obstacle to many visitors, and sadly, we have no control over downtown streets and sinage. We hope you can make it back for a visit sometime in the future and add us...More

Hard to believe that some Florida legislators once actually wanted to see this beautiful piece of history bulldozed! The old capitol has been restored to its 1902 appearance, complete with the charming red and white striped awnings. With all of the restored portions and numerous...More
