Nestled within 52 acres of flora and fauna, the Tallahassee Museum is an oasis close to the heart of downtown. The Tallahassee Museum features a working 1880s pioneer farmstead, native Florida wildlife habitat (including panthers and red wolves), cypress swamp, Jim Gary's 20th Century Dinosaurs, and the all new Tallahassee Tree to Tree Adventures (an outdoor zip line and adventure course for kids and adults). Come enjoy the great outdoors with us at the Tallahassee Museum- where nature, history, science, and fun come together!

This place is awesome! Shaded nature walks, indigenous animals in semi-natural environments, great playground, railway car, and an old fashioned farm. What's more for a kid to love??? The little snack café isn't that bad, too.

It's so much fun to see the animals playing in their areas. The girls enjoyed the dinosaur sculptures. It's so much exploring the shady trails.

There is plenty to do at the Tallahassee Museum, and kids up to age three get in free. There is a boardwalk with enclosures where you can view rehabilitating animals that have historic range in North Florida. There is usually also a guest enclosure where...More

We always take our grandkids to the Museum when they are in town. They love it. There are educational opportunities and just plain fun opportunities. The older boys love the zip line most of all. Can't go wrong here.

This museum is a delightful way to spend the afternoon or morning. The animals like the cool mornings, in my opinion. It's a bit pricey for what is there.

This is a reasonably decent activity to do with young kids. You can get out of the house and into a controlled nature environment for little cost.

service dogs are typically very well-behaved and I would think it should not present a problem. As long as you have the proper credentials I don't think they can refuse you entrance.
