We have been to the aquarium before and liked it. We didn't know how it worked with the penguin backstage pass, but that was the primary reason for our visit. You cannot purchase tickets to this in advance. However, you can purchase only the penguin backstage pass without purchasing aquarium tickets. We have a reciprocal membership and bought admission. We... More

We visited in our first day in Tampa, we arrived just before opening so we had a little walk around channelside plaza and look at the cruise ships. Once inside the aquarium there is a large number of species to look at and a few where you could touch them. We enjoyed the visit and especially the large viewing gallery... More

Based on our visits to other major aquariums, we were very pleased with the number, size and diversity of species, and the "up close and personal" nature of the displays. This was a great way to spend a couple of hours on a rainy day.

We needed something to do since it rained. It was fairly easy to get to, right next to the cruise ship in Tampa. It was all inside. There were very shows. We walked through in about 1 1/2 hours. Never saw any penguins or dolphins. Part of it was closed but there were no discounts. This aquarium is so much... More

The Florida Aquarium was small, but rather nice. A bit pricy, but if you are going, order your tickets online before hand to avoid the line at the door. We loved the Lemurs and the Sea Horses!

My boyfriend and I went to the aquarium on a Wednesday afternoon. There was a good crowd, but not crowded enough to get in the way of seeing all of the exhibits. We had a BLAST. The coral reef exhibit was huge and had an awesome variety of fish! They even had owls and monkeys. We will definitely be back... More

My family of 5 had a wonderful time visiting this little treasure in Tampa. There is so much to see, but you have enough time to do it all in one day. We went on a Wednesday, and it wasn't crowded; but, there was a good turnout. Unfortunately, the weather didn't allow us to go the boat tour, but we... More
