Do you see yourself looking over the vast Serengeti plains, searching the horizon for a glimpse of a pride of Lions, or a Leopard lounging in the trees? Do you imagine yourself in India, riding an elephant through the high grass with your eyes peeled for the elusive Tiger? Have you ever thought how great it would be to hike through the rainforest, listening to the tropical birds, ever on the lookout for a Leopard or an Ocelot high in the canopy? Have you ever been to the zoo and wanted to be closer to the exotic cats; so close you could almost touch them? You don't have to spend tens of thousands of dollars to make these dreams come true. The world's largest accredited big cat rescue facility is right here in Tampa, Florida at Big Cat Rescue.

I took my mother here, and we had such a great afternoon walking through the property and learning the life of each cat that landed there. The enclosures were huge, and you can see the sincere love for the animals that the volunteers have. In many cases there is nothing but 3 feet and wire separating you from the cats.... More

I was very surprised at the wealth of animals that they had on exhibit here in their large native surroundings. Very impressive! The tour is well over an hour and our guide was really knowledgeable. This is a must-see for children to grandparents.

It was a great tour. Saw many big cats all different kinds. Learned a lot of new facts and how humans need to be better at sharing our planet without interference in the lives of other species. The guides were knowledgble and answered all questions. You can take many pictures. Wear good walking shoes, lots of walking on dirt paths.... More

Went to the BCR this past weekend and did the Keeper Tour. I have nothing negative to say about it. I thought the tour was great,. Our tour leader was very knowledgable and friendly and even though we started a little late she went over time to give us our full 2 hours which was nice! I was a little... More

My wife is a huge supporter of big cats and so we took a tour for her birthday. The money raised by these tours helps support their sanctuary of rescued animals. It is a good tour with a chance to observe many species of cat. You can tell that the sanctuary cares deeply about these animals, and is frequently involved... More

We were so fortunate to be told about visiting the Big Cat Rescue while in Florida. My cousin recently moved to Orlando and he and his wife visited once before. It was so awesome. I literally stood 3 feet from a tiger in her living area! We were on the 10:00 tour and the cats were fairly active. Our guide... More

One of the more expensive tickets during my trip, but definitely worth the money. Guide was knowledgeable and friendly, no young kids on the tour meant that they gave more thorough information. Would definitely go back and would totally be willing to pay for one of the fancier tours given the chance.
