We are from Indiana and just last year discovered how wonderful Florida state parks are. This park did not disappoint. We camped for 3 nights and loved every minute. I would say the campsites are semi private at best but your not right on top...More

Nature, convenience, beautiful trees, and an incredible river make this a wondrous place to visit. Plenty of nice spots in a well maintained and historic location.

This park is spectacular and should not be missed if you are staying in the Tampa area. We drove from Redington Beach and made it a day trip instead of touristy things. It's great for kids and adults alike. You can rent kayaks or canoes...More

In my opinion, none of the sites close to the water are private. They are close together and some are short. You'll find larger, more private sites away from the water. We like sites 50, 52, 104, 10, 17, 19. You can also... More
