Pier with outlook across the beach where you can stay for a day. There is also a restaurant with plenty of space and a bar. But I haven't seen there anything for the little ones like a playground.

In the area on a tip for shark teeth hunting. On that note, I highly recommend renting a wire scoop bucket here for sifting through all the shells. Need DL, credit card, or refundable $20 deposit plus $8 rental. Well worth it if interested or have kids. We sifted here and Sodono beach, less than 1 mile south, and found... More

We have to take our annual walk on the pier. Busy area for parking due to Sharkey's Restaurant but worth the hassle. Fun to watch fishermen reeling in their catch, especially if the fish are really biting. Sometimes you get to see dolphins and there always are birds to watch. Beautiful view of the beach and sunset if you're lucky... More

If you love the ocean and being on the water, but aren't on a cruise or a boat, then being on a long fishing pier is the next best thing!! This pier is something like 700 feet long and, I swear, the temperature dropped by about ten degrees by the time we got to the end of the pier. What... More

Nice sunsets and a relaxing walk. Lots of people fishing and cooking out. Lots of locals. Our church did a baptism down from the pier on the beach a ways and it was beautiful.

I have been here many times and it is always an enjoyable experience. Free to the public this is a great place to browse, fish or just enjoy the Florida weather. You could while away an entire afternoon or evening just hanging out and enjoying the scenery. Nicely maintained and watched over carefully with great views of the Gulf and... More
