I only wish I brought my fishing rod with me. We were taken to the park when visiting some friends and ended up spending several hours relaxing and watching the fishermen and boats going in and out. The parking is free and there is a rest room. One side is open ocean and the other a boat channel. Besides boats... More

Humphris Park may not be large, but has free parking, lovely views of the sea and direct access to the beach, plus rest rooms and a small cafe. Walk down the jetties and watch the fishermen trying to catch fish before the Pelicans snap them up, great fun. Not far from the historic centre of Venice, it's an ideal way... More

If you like to watch the sun set over the Gulf, this is a great place to do it. Or you can fish from the jetty. Crowded parking but worth the effort. Small snack bar.

I visited Humphris Park while on a bike ride around Venice. It is located on the South Jetty (which is part of the park) on the north end of the city of Venice. It is a great place to watch the boats come and go into the bay. Fishermen line the jetty hoping for the next big catch and the... More

One thing that amazes me about Venice is how people go to the park to watch the sunset. It is a beautiful place for photos. You can also watch all the pelicans come in and crash into the water. A nice place for families to enjoy the evening breezes.

We parked in the South Jetty lot facing the inlet and looking over to the North Jetty. We set up our chairs in front of our car (as others did) (and there are benches too) and we sat, read, snacked and enjoyed the passage of many boats in and out of the inlet. We walked to the jetty and watched... More

Humphris Park on the South Jetty is a bustling spit of land with water, water everywhere. People come and go from the intercoastal waterway to the Gulf of Mexico. You will see yachts, small boats and jet skis. Then you can walk down the paved jetty and look at the people who are fishing as you take in the salt... More

You can walk along the jetty and see dolphins and pelicans. You can fish or watch the sunset. There is a little cafe with bathrooms. It gets crowded at sunset, but it's worth the effort.
