Awesome display of horse drawn carriages from all ages

It is a self guided tour but all the carriages have clearly written descriptions. Special display of refurbished royal coach from Austria. Bistro on premise that is very good.

If you like carriages and wagons and the history of all things horse drawn, you will love this museum. Very informative, extensive displays, ranging from primitive carts to the elaborate carriage of the Austrian Royalty. What a hidden little gem this attraction is right behind the hustle of the main road! We spent an entire day here walking through the carriage museum and the staff could not be more informational or eager to answer our many questions. After that, we walked the outside and visited the horses and walked the grounds which are truly amazing... More

Outstanding collection of carriages from all over the world beautifully displayed. Like an excellent classic car museum for conveyances of the pre-automotive era. Lovely grounds and setting. Definitely worth a detour from Orlando for anyone wishing to learn some history and to take a break from Mickey Mouse attractions!

This collection is wonderful, kids will love this. The life size horses hooked up to the numerous carriages are just incredible. The museum is much larger than I expected and houses a stunning collection of carriages. Everything from a Gypsy Wagon to the first Fire fighting Carriages. The opulence of some of the carriages give you a peek at a... More

Great carriage museum. Worth the time to visit. Off the beaten track but easy to find. A bonus to RV campers as they do have a nice camping area.

Our car club recently did a special monthly event at the Grand Oaks Carriage Museum. The resort served a buffet breakfast before we toured the museum. There are over 130 carriages that date back to the mid 19th century as well as an elegant carriage that once transported Franz Joseph of Austria. Additionally there are a few antique autos. This... This museum is located on beautiful grounds. Entrance to the museum is a bit pricey at $15pp with no discounts (except for children) but it is probably the only museum of its kind. There are probably over 150 carriages both European and American. The show piece is the restored 1850 Armbruster Dress Carriage once owned by Emperor Frank Joseph of... More

This is a lovely place to stroll around, lots of "horse activity" to see, a nice restaurant. The museum was the jewel for me however. Many beautifully restored carriages, buggies, etc. lots of histories well documented. Unique and extensive
