We were looking for something unique to do over Memorial Day weekend and we found it! McCarthy's Wildlife Sanctuary had a wide variety of animals, some (tortoises, snake, and tarantula) you could actually touch. The big cats were active and awe inspiring!!!! Totally recommend this...More

They are providing a valuable service by housing animals that could never make it in the wild. We enjoyed the tour. Our guide Brie was very comitted and gave a great tour.

This is my second visit, and enjoyed both visits. Manny did a great job introducing the animals and sharing how they came to be there. I was happy to hear they have a future and are well cared for - especially the leopards!

They are not open to the public. It is by appointment only for the tours which are from 11am-1pm and last about 2 hours.

Do you have to be a certain age to go? I have grandchildren that are nearly 5 years old.

They children need to be 5 yrs. old. When you call for your reservation they will remind you of that. There is a lot of information given about each animal, which means you are standing in one place listening. You are not... More
