Taking advantage of cooler weather we recently strolled the shops. Many are museum worthy with prices and merchandise clearly geared to the A1A crowd and their high priced designers. However there is some affordable treasures to be found, especially at the few thrift stores run by charities.

This is an interesting area to wander around in. It evolved over time as old Mom & Pop shops closed and antique dealers moved into the old shops. There are cafes in this area as well.

Antique row runs along both sides of Dixie Highway north of Southern Boulevard. The dozens of shops represent European antiques and art, retro, modern and contemporary.

Worth a visit for sure. Historical street. One of a kind shops and greaet finds. Most are expensive though. Still, at least window shop here!

Enormous space for this show. Admission price is pretty low and lots of things to see. The fair grounds are huge and offer lots of various activities.

A good many shops__ but not a lot of variety --- and as expected for this affluent area not a lot of bargains.

We went to this show last February, and that was a unique experience. Many dealers from all around the country, and very competitive prices. A whole day was hardly enough to see all. We tried again in August and were very disappointed. We spent hardly one hour and had seen everything. Most dealers were selling jewelry.

I have watched Antique Row grow in art and antiques over the last 37 years. It has had many changes and transformations but has high end antiques, lovely merchants and something for everyone, whether you are a designer, a collector or a client.
