This place has a breath taking view but the tower is very dirty.. There was water in the floor. The enter (inside) of the tower was very flooded too and stink. But once you are up there you see a lot of towns arounds like Peñuelas, Lajas, Sabana Grande, San German and obviously Maricao. The view worth the drive up.... More

I've been here lots of times, last time was in Summer 2010. It's beautiful!! This is part of the Maricao Forest State Park, a very important forestal park, which is the origin of most, if not all of the est coast's water sources. When you go up there, you can see the sea (well, the Mona Channelm actually), Mayagüez, Maricao,... More

Cool tower and view but I didn't think it was worth the drive up. Note: If it has been cloudy, foggy or rainy in the area do not bother going up to the tower. You won't be able to see anything. There is parking right at the tower. You don't have to hike to it or anything.

Climb the tower and take in the beautiful views. On a clear day you can see the entire west coast of Puerto Rico. Area around tower is thousands and thousands of bamboo trees. A tropical paradise. Well worth the time and confusion thru the mountain and google map failure. (Note... up in the mountains GPS doesn't work well. Google map... More

Travelling and visiting various places in PR with my wife. This place is fairly close to home and we had never been. The views are spectacular. It is easier to come up route 120 from Sabana Grande. You can then continue on Route 120 into the town of Maricao. Take some time to take pictures of the fountain and plaza.... More

This place has great views and it's a nice historical landmark but that's all it is. There is not much to do here but take pictures and enjoy the view.

As far as Añasco and Mayagüez or down to Lajas, Cabo Rojo, Hormigueros, Sabana Grande, Guanica and part of Yauco. In the stone tower area... More

Nice place to get away from society. Nice view of the island and keep touch with your inner spirit. But be aware not many places to eat.

We stumbled upon this tower on our way through Route 120. We stopped and climbed the stairs to the top and saw the spectacular view. If you passing by, make sure you stop.

This tower on Route 120 to Maricao has great views of the south western coast of Puerto Rico. The tower stands about 3,000 feet above sea level so on a clear day you'll be able to see "La Parguera", the bay of Guanica, the lighthouse of Cabo Rojo, among other sites. It is a recommended stop before going to Maricao.
