Wonderful view of water , birds and stray fisherman. Looks east so great place to view sunrise. Some fisherman use the pier and lots of birdwatchers. On shore large wire sculpture filled with plastic and aluminum debris from the water. Interesting.

My Garden Circle took the boat trip, it was a wonderful experience. A naturalist explained each animal that we netted, we were allowed to hold them if we so wished. After the animals were discussed they were released.

Made famous by Sidney Lanier in his Marshes of Glynn writings, the scenery is breathtaking, wildlife abundant and inshore fishing in these creeks and rivers always good and at times epic (if you have the right bait and technique...)

The marsh can be cool if you have never seen it before. I guess we were not too blown away since we have seen lots of saltwater marsh on Jekyll island.
