Tellus is a 120,000 square foot science museum located in Cartersville, just north of Atlanta. Tellus Science Museum is a Smithsonian Institute Affiliate Museum, which houses four major galleries - Weinman Mineral Gallery, Fossil Gallery, Science in Motion Gallery, and My Big Back Yard. In addition, the museum includes a fossil dig and gem panning hands-on experience, a planetarium, and an observatory.

if you enjoy science, then you will enjoy tellus. there are many exhibits. we had 3 of our grandkids with us they had an awesome time. the section with the local rocks and minerals was great. I would recommend Tellus for adults and children.

Wow! This place is very cool! We took our 4 and 6 year old boys. The rock and mineral section is extensive and even has areas with "Please Touch" signs which are perfect for inquisitive kids! The dinosaur area was my favorite. While it's not...More

overall though it is a awesome experience with kids. Just make sure you go early or you will feel like you have been ripped off. It is expensive to go. Also they are pretty petty and made my senior dad throw away his water bottle...More

My daughter and I had an amazing time! We got there a few hours before the solar eclipse and enjoyed touring the exhibits. Very informative and fun gift shop too!

The exhibits were great - from the horseless carriages to the dinosaurs and everything in between. I even enjoyed panning for jewels and digging for fossils. A great trip for the whole family.

Had an amazing time here with my family. Highly recommend for people of all ages. The exhibits are amazing and put together very well. Everything is grouped together perfectly!
