Description:

These beautiful historic gardens and arboretum dating back to the late...

These beautiful historic gardens and arboretum dating back to the late 1700's are surrounded by over 1600 acres of countryside within the picturesque village of Upper Arley beside the river Severn. In addition to providing wonderful walks through the grounds there are walks along the banks of the river, all set in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside with far reaching views.

Go back in time and watch the Severn Valley Railway trains steam across the hill from one of the magnificent signposted walks. It is a garden that provides the ideal day out for you and your family, a dream escape from the bustle of everyday life. Our proximity to Birmingham, Kidderminster, Wolverhampton, Worcester, the Malverns and Cotswolds makes us the ideal attraction for individuals and groups alike.

The estate offers plenty to do for all ages from the Italian garden with its fountain for the adults, to the dinosaur and fairy trails and maze for the young ones. Arley Estate and Arboretum also provides a unique venue for your wedding reception, civil ceremony, or partnership.

There is more to Arley Estate and Arboretum than just a garden. It can also be used for corporate hospitality, promotional and photographic shoots and filming.

Furthermore, there is a wonderful tea room, where you can buy a light lunch or full, traditional afternoon tea. We hope you enjoy your visit to Arley Arboretum and Garden and thank you for taking time to look at our Trip Advisor page.

Excellent location for an afternoon out with primary school aged children, especially those with little green space available at home. Loads of room to run wild, a play area, maze and various trails to maintain their interest on the way around. Kids enjoyed an ice cream and fruit shoot drink in the tea room, which is all any child wants!!... More

We visited the Arboretum with a party of 20. We had a variety of disabilities and the venue was suitable for all levels of activity. We couldn't have been better looked after. Most of us had a coffee sitting outside in the gorgeous sunshine and then wandered around the blossom filled Arboretum. It was a delight. The weather helped but... More

I visited Arley Arboretum today and had a lovely quiet walk around the grounds. You could dodge other people (although this might not be the case during the school holidays) and sit & enjoy the tranquil atmosphere, listening to the bird song and soaking up the views and beautiful blossom! A well directed map with various routes to suit needs... More

We visited Arley Arboretum with friends and were not disappointed. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and certainly added to the experience. The trees were at their best and the views over the Severn and the Severn Valley Railway were superb. The arboretum is quite small so you do not have to rush around to see it all although... More

Had a fabulous few hours here on a wet day in half term. The staff were very welcoming from the start. We all loved the bug experience which was an extra "adding" we all had a close up encounter with a variety of animals - fascinating!
