Definitely one of the most action-packed and awe-inspiring 90 minute adventures you will ever take!! If you are anywhere close to the area or have an excuse to pass by here, you should absolutely make this a priority. We saw more alligators than we could count (probably at least 50), plus a bunch of cool birds, turtles and some gorgeous... More

We went out on the 3:30pm guided boat tour. Saw lots of gators, a huge owl, and many different bird species. Our guide, Joey, was a hoot and a half! He made the trip informative and fun. He's a great ambassador for the swamp.

We were greeted by really friendly staff who welcomed us and explained everything. We had lunch there. It was tasty and extremely reasonable. We then went on a boat tour guided by Captain Charlie West. He was the best! Knew his stuff! We then rented bikes and went on a beautiful ride. The Chesser House and the Boardwalk are not... More

We so enjoyed our boat tour into the swamp. The highlight was listening to the stories that our guide, Charlie, told throughout the trip. The swamp itself is a marvel. We saw many gators, birds, and enjoyed every minute of our trip. I want to come back again soon!

We were visiting the Okefenokee Park and had an opportunity to take a motor boat tour in the refuge. This group has the contract to provide motor boat trips as well as renting canoes and other boats for padding in the swampland. This is a great way to see the wetland part of the refuge.

Okefenokee Adventures is located at the Folkston (eastern) entrance to the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge. The OA's provide a series of motor, canoe and kayak opportunities in the refuge. Among them are several guided tours led by experienced and very informative guides. Included is generally a run up the Suwanee Canal, dug in the late 1800s. If visitors have the... More

We took the 90 minute tour. We saw alligators before we even left the dock. The beauty of the refuge is unreal. Amazed at all the different animals we saw. Everyone was happy!

I rented a kayak from Okefenokee Adventures and paddled around the swamp for a couple of hours. Not for the feint of heart! There were gators everywhere, and while they'll leave your boat alone, they certainly aren't afraid of you. Once you get through the canal and into the preserve, the scenery is absolutely stunning. I can't recommend a visit... More

We contacted them by e-mail one day prior to the intended excursion and immediately received a reply. We had special requests (private sunset tour for my wife and me) and Joy went out of her way to get it done. We arrived after a very long drive from Pensacola shortly before the park closed and indeed Ron was waiting for... More
