If your in the area and like trains this is a nice side trip. The trains vary in length and car type. Quite s few trains every day.

Monday, 2/12/18 - 14 trains and a light engine move between 11:00 and 6:00. Tuesday, 2/13/18 - 11 trains between 7:30 and 2:00. On cloudy days, the sun angle is not a big deal. In mid-February, sunset is around 6:00.

An odd place that attracts train buffs. But I learned a lot and it is right in Folkston near the campground and Okefenokee NWR

Instead of considering the heavy rail traffic through town as a nuisance, Folkston took advantage of it and turned it into a tourist attraction. The old station has been restored into a museum, and there are plenty of places on the grounds to sit and...More

A great place to watch LOTS of trains funneling into Florida from the rest of the USA. Great viewing and nice to have the scanner feature too.
