I had my wedding reception at Massee Lane Gardens many years ago. It has changed very little since then, and it is still a beautiful space for a reception or banquet. The nature figurines are beautiful, and the flowers are absolutely amazing when in bloom. This is a wonderful little secret that not many people know about.

I really enjoyed my visit to Massee Lane Gardens. According to the literature the festival of camellias occurs in February. There were camellias blooming everywhere. I'm not sure what the garden would be like the rest of the year. There is also an extensive collection of porcelain figures donated from wealthy patrons. Between the gardens, greenhouse and Boehm porcelains I... More

Enjoy the pond, paths, and flowers. There is also a nice Japanese garden with fish. Fun for the whole family, especially the little ones who could safely run around.

Massee Lane Gardens was a beautiful place to stop! We had a lot of fun walking through the gardens and the porcelain rooms. The lady at the gift shop was very friendly!

A wonderful place to see the many beautiful varieties that camellias can take. A serene spot to enjoy and contemplate the beauties of nature. A very lovely place to visit on a fine spring day! Inexpensive and low key.

This was our first stop on our way from ATL to Americus. What a find. It's amazing how all around the flora is wintering...but the camellias are in full bloom and magnificent. Everywhere you turn the is another gorgeous variety. Inside there was a lovely porcelain exhibit, but we came for the camellias and were not disappointed.

We were fortunate to see the gardens in peak season. The various camellias were so beautiful. Such planning went into the gardens and the paths made for easy walking. Loved the huge Koi in the oriental garden. A nice way to spent an hour just strolling thru nature.

I had visited Middleton Gardens in Charleston in December and expected something similar. Massee Lane Gardens is much smaller. The Camellias were blooming nicely in spite of a fairly cold January. The gardens were well maintained, but it felt like things were a bit outdated. If you love Camellias it is certainly worth the stop. Don't miss the Boehm Exhibit,... More

If you love flowers, especially camellias, this is a wonderful place to visit. They have many different kind of flowers so that there is something in bloom all the time. It's a perfect place for large groups as well as families.
