Nice little museum with great information and be sure to go view the patients and let the caretakers tell you all about them!

We went on the behind the scenes tour where we were able to look in the turtle hospital. While we were there an injured Terrapin came in for treatment. It was a great experience and inexpensive for what you get to see up close.

The Turtle Center is always a fun trip for my wife who loves turtles. Our kids have been coming here since they were about three so they have a little ‘been there and seen that’ attitude but it’s been great to see them grow and...More

What a great place to learn about the island and the turtles. The kids will love it and it's a learning experience they will remember.

Enjoyed this more than we thought we might, but especially as we got to see a large turtle being cared for in the hospital and then returned to the rehabilitation area. Pretty nice gift shop and reasonable play area for toddlers. There is an entrance...More

This was a great museum for children, as a lot of the exhibits were interactive and not too difficult. There are specific times that you can observe feeding the turtles, so timing your visit is critical if that is something you want to see.

No matter how many times we visit, there is always a new feature. Many interactive activities, videos of the hospital and turtle life cycle. Rescue hospital always interesting to see the turtles, large and small. Great gift shop and neat murals in clean restrooms.

We listened to an attendant tell us about some of the sick turtles. There isn't very much to see, but it was interesting learning how they take care of sick or injured turtles.

Visited The Georgia Sea Turtle Center while on vacation. Nice center. Great information about turtles and the effect of pollution. A good way to support saving turtles

I would recommend calling the center, to be sure, but i doubt dogs are allowed inside the facility. I didnt see any on the premises while i was there.

Absolutely!! Plenty of hands-on educational exhibits. And if you can set it up at just the right time, the kids can be there for a turtle feeding and possibly even watch Dr. Norton and his staff caring for a turtle!
