We stayed in one of the premier waterfront campsites...well worth extra few dollars!!! Our site was huge, level and easy to get in and out of. Spectacular view of the lake, and easy access from the site down to the lakeside to go fishing. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Campground was quiet and very well maintained, bath house was close to... More

This campground was beautiful. We stayed on a waterfront site on the first loop. Great water views and the place was empty. Some of the sites were set up weird because they are sites within sites. Stick to the first loop on the right and you will be fine. Bathrooms were the cleanest I have ever seen. DO NOT USE... More

Ducks and geese are frequently on the lake. Deer casually meandar through the woods and on the roads. Drive through and take in the scenery. Yurts, cabins, even primitive camping. Hosts are usually nice, but if you go to primitive camping beware, they aren't very friendly if you try to use the regular campground showers. Bathrooms are clean and well... More

We have camped here MULTIPLE times! Started with our kids when they were young; then kept coming on an annual Father/Son weekend. Played mini-golf, rode bikes, hiked through the woods, played tennis, threw the frisbee, built a fire and just relaxed. We always splurged for waterfront tent sites unless we opt for the Yurts (which are also on the water).... More

After reading reviews and seeing photos, we arrived for our first visit to a CLOSED sign on the office...luckily I pulled the door and they were open. Newbie at front desk only answered questions...did not offer any suggestions nor tell us that two of the three camper areas were closed. Bath house was new and nice but needs lots more... More

My family and I go camping just about every other weekend from spring until fall. We have never once had anything negative about this park! The boat ramps are easy to get into and out of. The campground office has people working that are very friendly. The campground host really make you feel welcomed and apart of the camping family!... More

Had a nice long weekend camping with family at Tugaloo. We stayed in a premium rv site which was roomy and set up nice. The lake was down and there was a fireban due to the drought conditions, but we made the best of it with gas heaters and still had a ball. We come here at least once a... More

Great site on the water, great weather, and the perfect time of year. The water was low due to lack of rain. Other than that, perfect.

We stayed later in October and the weather was perfect. Because of this every campsite was full. The only downside to this place is that you cannot reserve a specific site. You pay in advance and it guarantees you a spot, which one you get depends on how early you get here. However premium sites (on the water) can be... More

Our group of 7 stayed at one of the cottages, and we really enjoyed it. It was cheaper than renting two (or possibly even 3) hotel rooms, and we got a kitchen, a grill and a firepit. Cottage 6 had wonderful views of the sun setting over Lake Hartwell. The cottage isn't luxurious, but it was clean and comfortable. Our... More
