Good night, clear skies, saw some stripes of Jupiter, nebulae, and learned a bit about our night's sky Our hosts John and Maryanne were helpful and informative, and made sure we had a good view of the stars and Jupiter, even with a bit of a group. Slick show, not too long, good information backed by seeing it for yourself.

I am not a huge fan of star gazing but thought we would have a look Turns out it was really interesting A small talk by John then a short video gave us a background to what we were about to see through the telescopes Just looking without the background info would be great in itself but actually understanding what... Booked into the observatory at night for an education on the solar system by a lively gentlemen and his wife. We were astounded on the stars and constellations and galaxies we saw through some big telescopes.

It was a lovely night to enjoy the stars. John and Maryanne welcomed us to their observatory and explained how the night would run. It started just before dark with an information session (visuals and talk) on the stars and the night sky which really helped to appreciate the star gazing that followed. We popped out to see Venus and... More

It was a great evening. No cloud in sky. Amazing star view. Great host and it is not technical for most of the talk. I would bring my kids to come again.

My wife and I went to the observatory after reading other reviews on trip advisor. John and Maryanne where both very welcoming and lovely people. We had a look around at johns glass art work while waiting for it to get dark. John then showed us through a presentation explaining the creation, life and Death of stars. This presentation included... More

This is a second visit to the observatory, this time with family of adults, teens and 1 young child. Wasn't the best weather for viewing, but the clouds cleared enough for us to get a good view, so don't discount a view if you think it is too cloudy or raining as there is still plenty to see and the...
