The Marietta Museum of History is one of Marietta's unique treasures. The museum is located in the Historic Kennesaw House, a structure built in 1845. Located just steps off the Marietta Square, the museum is a perfect afternoon activity for visitors to take in along with local lunch and shopping.

Very interesting place to visit. First picture is of an old electric hair curler. Second shows only a small amount of the gun and rifle collection. Lots of other old stuff to see here.

I love history so I am always excited to visit a history museum. I enjoyed all the exhibits here. It is fascinating to see history and think of the people to whom these artifacts were new.

Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. You can walk through on your own of course, but stop and have a conversation with the folks manning the place to get an additional dose of local flavor.
