Beautiful, serene, peaceful. A piece of history not to be missed on so many levels. No judgements... Only love and respect for the sacrifices made. Not to be missed... And take your kids so they understand the value of standing for what you believe.

After hearing about this cemetery after visiting The Kennesaw Battlefield we decided to visit since it was only a couple miles away. The memorials for the different states was interesting to see. Definitely worth a quick visit to see the history of our great nation!

This location is interesting if you're into Civil War sites or history. There are displays and monuments that are informative. It does seem to be a little unkempt and finding the entrance can be difficult. Worth a visit.

You really have to have an understanding of the civil war from a military standpoint, to enjoy this place, but we always go back.

It could use a little TLC, but what cemetery couldn't? A must see for Civil War buffs, history buffs, those seeking to honor ALL patriots, etc. The display outside the cemetery listing the by unit, location, is very well done.

First, it's very hard to find the entrance so I advise caution. There is a ton of history here but it makes me sad that the cemetery isn't kept better.

Not to my knowledge. Marietta is quite a distance from downtown Atlanta. There may be local tours available. We live in the area and drove from Snellville. The Marietta City Cemetery, which is older than the Confederate... More
