I try to stop here on a yearly basis in the month of December just to get the true meaning of Christmas. Its not all about Santa Claus, store wide sales and what have you. Its a truly moving experience to be enjoyed and treasured at this holy time of year. The lights are spectacular but not commercialized. Nativity scenes... More

Just a beautiful peaceful walk around the winding paths. Bible quote here and there. The chapel is a wonderful place to think. It must be beautiful when all the plants are in bloom. Such a relaxing stop.

If you are in the Metter area around Christmas you should definitely try to visit the gardens. Go after dark of course. The displays are just beautiful!

Wonderful people, fantastic historical review, great place to visit at Christmas. The workers greet you with a smile and are very smart regarding facts of the Bible. Take my family every year.

You have got to come during Christmas time. The lights are wonderful and meaningful. Make this part of your Christmas traditions. It is also a very beautiful place to have weddings or just to enjoy natural beauty.

Although the lights at Christmas are the highlight of the year, the gardens are a peaceful place to visit and worth a stop anytime. Spring would be exceptionally pretty. Fall would be an additional time that is cooler. Metter during summer is hot and has gnats. Chapel on grounds is nice place to pray and meditate.

Guido Gardens, Home Of The Sower, is a peaceful, tranquil place filled with plants, waterfalls, bridges, biblical verses on benches and various places, as well as a small church, Empty Tomb, and Carpenter Shop. It is handicapped accessible and has a public bathroom just to your right as you enter the gardens. Don't worry if you can't walk far, there... More

Glad I searched Tripadvisor for towns on I-16 with something worth stoping for. I-16 from Savannah to Macon isn't too exciting. Happened to read about Guido Gardens and thought it'd be a good stop for our "roadside" picnic on our road trip. Beautiful and well kept garden with a sparkling, little water fall with pelican statues, benches & gazebos and... More

This was our first trip to Guido Gardens. We drove an hour just to see the Christmas lights and we really enjoyed our visit. The glass chapel was beautiful. The light displays of the animals and scenes from the Bible were a wonderful reminder that Christmas should be about the reason for the season, Jesus Christ. We would love to... More
