On my second day touring Liberty County, we made a stop at the Dorchester Academy and Museum in Midway Georgia. This historic site is located at the corner of East Oglethorpe Highway (US Route 84) and Lewis Fraser Road. Dorchester Academy is probably a very strange place to have a wedding reception, but it's history is extremely important to our family. My grandmother, mother-in-law, an aunt and uncle all attended this great school back in the 1920's and 30's.
