Description:

The Go Fish Education Center takes visitors on an educational journey...

The Go Fish Education Center takes visitors on an educational journey through Georgia's watersheds to learn about our diverse aquatic wildlife, their natural habitats and the impacts of water pollution. Beyond that, the Center serves as a great resource of fishing information for any level of angler - where to go, what to use and when.

We have over 170,000 gallons of aquatic exhibits that feature fish from the mountains, piedmont, coastal plain and swamp habitats of Georgia. We also have freshwater and saltwater fishing simulators, hunting simulators and a pond where you can try out your fishing skills.

We are a Georgia Department of Natural Resources Facility.

Open hours are Friday and Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 1 pm to 5 pm.

Tuesday - Thursday we do field trips or group tours. These need to be scheduled in advance.

Took elementary age children, and we had fun and kept their interest. Lots to see, layout is easy to navigate with something interesting around every turn. The shooting gallery was good, short movies informative, and the fishing so realistic they should have had a docent there to tell me not to let my little ones the pull was too much... More

We had so much fun! Very clean, educational, and everyone there working were friendly and knowledgable. They were happy to share their love of the outdoors with all ages. We felt right at home and are so glad we decided last minute to stop!

I took my 3 year old granddaughter on a Friday. It wasn't crowded and it was nice to walk in and not have tons of people waiting. My granddaughter loved seeing the aquariums to watch the fish. These are not huge aquariums like you might see at other larger facilities but they were at eye level for her to see... More

There is so much to see and do here for all generations. Great simulated fishing and shooting and real hands on fishing too with tuition and assistance from the friendly staff all included. A fantastic venue all for 5 dollars! Only open to the general public Friday,Saturday and Sunday. So plan your visit.

We visit Georgia a lot to see our father (80) he is from Georgia and has always loved to fish. My sister and I grew up fishing so I researched the area and found this wonderful educational and fun place to visit. Nothing will erase the wonderful memories of the biggest smiles on his face as he fights fish in... More

We stopped here with our 5 year old grandkids. The boating and fishing simulators were great fun. Exhibits were well done and in excellent condition. Wild animal exhibits. Rifle hunting simulators were also fun for all of us. Best was fishing for real fish in the pond out back. Rod and reel and bait are supplied. Friendly experts help the... More

We were traveling through the area and saw this on trip advisor. We thought it would be a nice stop for the kids. We went on Sunday, which the open at 1:00pm. It was $5-adults, $3-kids. There were aquarium setups and information for local waters and marine life. Our kids enjoyed the fishing simulators, and hunting area where there are... More

Great place to spend the afternoon. The way they have the viewing tanks set up is good for young and old. The price is extremely reasonable $4 for seniors. Staff are friendly and helpful. The indoor simulated fishing experiences are lots of fun. Then you can really go fishing in pond out back. The rods are all ready for casting... More

Part aquarium, part museum, part hands-on and totally worth a visit. You see the signs on the interstate and think it must be some boring education center! Wrong! It's very cool and modern and you'll like it, I promise. For just about $4 a person it's a good deal. They have tanks with all types of fish, turtles and alligators... More
