I purchased tickets to the Blue Morpho event for my mom's birthday and it was quite the magical experience. Michael made this event quite memorable. He manages the butterfly center and he never tired of our endless questions or butterfly enthusiasm. My mom said it...More

Absolutely beautiful place to visit. Although we did not visit in the spring when most of the flowers were in bloom, it was still a wonderful experience. The hiking trails were terrific, and the butterfly exhibit is a must-see place. We are definitely going to...More

This place is great for an escape from the city, good place for couples or the whole family. The treetop adventure is really fun, and you can bike the trails, good choices to work out a little. They have a butterfly house, it's beautiful, the...More

While we were theoretically there for the balloon festival, we ended up spending more time at other parts of the park. The weather was beautiful! The grounds, gardens, and golf course were well kept up, and simply stunning! Friendly staff everywhere. If you're planning to...More

Callaway Gardens should not advertise the Labor Day weekend as a Hot Air Ballooon Festival when there were no balloons to be seen! They say "weather conditions permitting". It seemed to me and many others that there was no wind on both days. Yet they...More

We are very sorry to hear that you were disappointed. Hot Air Balloons are dependent on basically no wind (0-3 mph). Winds are calmest at sunrise and sunset. As the sun rises, the air is heated and wind is created. Pilots were out that at...More

Our second visit, stayed in the Lodge (very nice accommodations). The birds of prey demonstration is worth the time. The Discovery center has great displays. Many miles of walking paths and bike trails. Plan to visit again in the spring when the azaleas bloom.

Yes, there is a beach, but it is on a lake of course. During the summer they have a obstacle course sort of thing on the lake that is great for kids. You can go just for a day or two without staying in the hotel.
