Most Beautiful Park in Georgia

This is without a doubt the most beautiful park I've ever been to. There are gorgeous views of mountain landscapes, waterfalls, the river, the gulch, small caves, etc. The yurts... read more

In my opinion, worst campsite in Georgia. The campgrounds are basically big parking lots with fire pits and tables. It's like some sort of Woodstock-esqe gathering of people. But boy you'd better believe they're proud of it. You can get a 3-star hotel room for the price of a walk-in campsite! Bathrooms were disgusting. Smelled of human waste, floors were... More

This is without a doubt the most beautiful park I've ever been to. There are gorgeous views of mountain landscapes, waterfalls, the river, the gulch, small caves, etc. The yurts are fantastic, the campgrounds are perfect, and the staff was incredibly helpful. The views are jaw-dropping if you hike the gulch or the rim loop. It is a BEAUTIFUL place,... More

I love this park but one thing that stands out like a sore thumb are the homes you pass once in the park. You check in at the center and everything looks like a state park should look like but as you head towards the east rim you pass some houses that look like a tornado went through them, trash... We enjoy camping at this state park. We found out this time that they do close off a portion of the West rim campground because they don't have as many hosts? So we didn't get our favorite spot but it was still just fine. The hikes here are a nice challenge and are worth the effort.

Today we hiked up Sittons Gulch along the tumbling and cascading waters of the creek flowing down from the two waterfalls that make Cloudland Canyon a remarkable place to be and experience. The weather for January was mild and perfect for hiking up the canyon.

Camped here and enjoyed my time. The campground is in good shape. The hosts kept it clean - both the grounds themselves and the bath house. Cloundland offers many different options for overnight stays including all types of camping and cabins. And, of course, the park offers many different options for outdoor activities.

We had a great experience. We hiked the West Rim Loop Trail. It had beautiful views. It was rated as a moderate hike. We chose this trail so that our 10 year old lab could join us. We wanted to do the Sitton's Gulch Trail but the metal grates on the steps were too rough on the dogs feet. Next... More

Great hike, great views, great workout. Even without the waterfalls flowing due to the drought it was still some beautiful scenery. The waterfall trail is strenuous but absolutely worth it. My girlfriend and I will definitely be back after some rainfall to see the falls and planning to stay a weekend and bring the kids.

I was there with my kids, they enjoyed the hike tremendously. Sad the waterfalls are all dry. Hopefully there will be rain soon.

My wife and I stayed in the yurts earlier this year but this time we invited two other couples and stayed in cottage #1. The cottage had three bedrooms and even a pull out sofa if needed. It was fully furnished but we brought extra pots just in case for cooking and they were needed. We enjoyed hiking( be sure... More
