Visited with office colleagues. Selling from fruits, vegetables, dried anchovies, dried shrimps, dried salted fish, mouth watering fish crackers etc...... Goodness me quite amazed as they also sell kitchenware/utility, bakery moulds and anything everything you can find from this market. I can even spend few hours marketing/shopping. Wish I will come back again to Tawau Market.…

Interesting to spend 30 minutes wandering around the market to get an idea of how the locals buy their food and clothing. On the upper floor are a number of café’s. Outside we saw a large monitor lizard swimming in the sea before disappearing up a drain pipe. Someone was about to get a visitor.…

Everything are available at this market. Open in the morning till 6 pm daily. A good bargain place for salted fresh seafood. Name it you get everything here. Price range absolutely very much cheaper than the one selling in Peninsular of MALAYSIA.

Pasar Tanjung Tawau, is a local market which offers all kind of food stuffs and local delicacies at a very cheap price compared to Peninsular Malaysia. One could easily get good quality, fresh dried anchovies and dried prawns here. Best to buy in bulk to get cheaper prices and these products can be stored for long period of time. If you tell the seller, that you are flying , they will pack them nicely and seal them perfect for air travel. You also can get local delicacies that are native to Sabahan which can hardly be found in Peninsular Malaysia.…
