My wife and I went to the park with my mother. It was a short trip but worth the money. The train ride was informative. The live animal exhibit was enjoyable. The people were knowledgeable of the animald. Would recommend.

Who knew a 40 year old man would enjoy a swamp so much. We went for a hike to the observatory that looks out over the park. This was the highlight for his entire vacation. He proudly wears his Okefenokee Swamp shirt everywhere now.

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
We are thinking of visiting the Okefenokee Swamp Park in early April. Mosquitoes seem to love my skin so I am a little concerned about insects that time of year. I'm sure they are not as bad as in the summer. Does anyone have anything to report about the flying insect population in the swamp in early April? Thanks!
