We tent/suv camp, and have been camping here two times so far (campground 1), and both experiences were great. The staff are friendly and very helpful, and the check-in is quick. The sites are very well maintained and clean, and the bathhouses are neat and...More

We walked the lake. That took most of the day. We drove around the park a little. Its a nice stroll but too close to Winder for you to feel like you are camping or glamping.

We took the RV over to Fort Yargo for a long weekend. We stayed in Campground 1 near the bath house (since there is no sewage hookup at GA parks?). The sites were well kept with fresh rocks. The bath houses were clean. The host...More

Our extended family visited Fort Yargo State Park, paying just 5$ total to enter since we drove together in a minivan. We had our picnic supplies and ate down by the lake. The water was just perfect for swimming. Even though it was very hot,...More

We really enjoyed the "beach" and had a great time including the paddle boats. The park also has miniature golf, and other boats to rent. It is a wonderful place for a picnic, swimming, etc. Ft. Yargo is a lot different from other parks

Nice trails for all levels of bike riders. Would camp here but they require a 2 night stay minimum so we usually stay outside the park when we come to ride.

You may be able to see the lake through the trees from some of them, but they are a hundred yards or so from the lake, with some woods between the cabins and the waterline. Cabin #13 probably has the best view of the lake... More

It is a gravel parking area is about 25-75 yards away from each of the spots. If you look at the map online for tent campsites, imagine the party. In the center. Not a bad walk at all
