Very good guided tour. Sandy, our tour guide did a great job. Seeing the boarding house was very fascinating. I learned a lot about the Basque migration from Ellis Island to the Western US. I would recommend this tour to anyone who likes learning about different cultures.

The Basque Museum & Cultural Center is a great place to visit and experience the Basque culture in Boise, ID! The Basque community is strong in Boise and one can experience the culture, including authentic cuisine, without traveling abroad! If you're in Boise it is certainly worth the time to check it out!

The Boise area has one of the largest concentration of Basques outside of Spain. The Museum, I believe the first in the US dedicated to Basque heritage, is a first class museum that explains how the Basques came to Idaho and what they did. One gallery has old photographs of immigrants that settled in Idaho. There is a full size... More

The Basque people have been, for generations, integral and important to the Boise culture. The Museum & Cultural Center tells the story of their journey from Spain to life in southern Idaho in very well done graphics, photos and artifacts. A must see on a visit to Boise, the entire Basque Block is interesting, fun, lively and full of Boise... More

This is a great history of the Basque Culture in our city! Nicely done for visitors to see photos and the culture the Basque people have brought to the State of Idaho. Worth a see!

We didn't have much time since we arrived close to closing time for the museum but the hosts were gracious and told us to read quickly. It was a cute museum for the small space they have and interesting to see the different cultural influences that the Basque people are a combination of. Worth the visit!

You could say it's small, but I would say it's an intimate look at the rich history of Basque people in Idaho. A real gem that should not be overlooked. Wonderful for in town or out of town visitors to learn that Boise is a hub for Basque culture!

Boise is always full of surprises, and one of my favorites is its significant Basque population. This museum is small, but it has lots of information and things to see. You can tell that the Boise Basque population is very proud of their heritage and you'll learn why so many Basque decided to make Boise their home. Very well done... More

We enjoyed learning about the Basque people and their culture. The museum included a lot of neat facts about the Basque and how they came to live in Idaho.
