The Old Idaho Penitentiary Museum is very interesting and unique, even though a bit macabre, since it includes stories of the inmates and ghosts who have haunted its cells and courtyards during a century in which it was first an Idaho Territorial Prison and then...More

For what it is, this site is interesting for history buffs. It is pretty boring otherwise. I would not bring children as they wouldn't understand the significance of the site.

Such a fun and educational way to spend a few hours. There's an amazing amount of history here. If you can make it to one of the special events with presentations, entertainment, and occasional "lock-ups", don't miss out. Awesome!

It may sound very strange that I like this place. But, the history is great on the state of idaho. I have done the fright night as a volunteer and the paranormal investigation in the summer. This is a place you have to see.
