this place isn't really large but there was a lot of interesting information to learn and very well done displays showing animals and nature. The nature walk was very beautiful with a large variety of birds, fish and flowers to look at.

Nice spot for a leisurely stroll. The Visitor's Center contains a number of exhibits, but the highlight is the walking path outside. There is a sizable lagoon and an outdoor aquarium where fish can be viewed through glass.

You never know what kind of wildlife you will see here but the grounds are always beautiful and peaceful. The water features with the fish are my favorite!

We took our grandson to the Nature Center for a special event and saw a hawk demonstration. The speaker had a live hawk for all the kids to see up close! the wing span was incredible! If they don't have special demonstrations, the center is just nice to take a walk through and see what is growing and enjoy an... More

This was a spontaneous stop because they offer a smashed penny opportunity. My kids will search out every place to get a smashed penny! This was a really nice walk through! I enjoyed this more than our recent trip to the zoo. This was a nature walk and you were able to look in on animals in their natural habitat.... More

It was delightful going through this lovely park. I did not go into the visitor center as it was closed, but the outdoor exhibits were delightful. I really enjoyed the sturgeon pond. There were lots of visible sturgeon swimming around. The walk through the various exhibits was very scenic. I took some great pictures. It would be a great place... More

Great place for nature lovers as well as kids of all ages. They have lots of informational signs throughout the property and lots of great wildlife up close but within the natural habitat; for example, you can see fish through a glass wall that looks right into the river. I also saw a burrowing owl and a deer right off... More

This could be a side trip if you're on the Boise River Greenbelt or a destination trip. It is a 4.6 acre site run by the Idaho Fish and Game. We did not have a chance to go into the Visitor Center, but we did the "stream walk," which is open from sunrise to sunset. This walk takes you around... More
