Fabulous building; architecture and marble are breathtaking! To my surprise, coming from another state, the Capital Building is open without a security system. Amazing in this day and age.

Was an impressive site, appreciated the exterior statues, plaque, and park area. Was helpful for my 7 year old to discuss politics. Was able to go and see the house and the senate chambers. My 2 year old loved the squirrels and the bell, just be carful that bell is super loud if your ringing it. My ear still rings... More

It's almost a big park, but wish it was even MORE park-like. Could use more shady spaces and seating areas to really take it to the next level. The building itself is beautiful, though.

An amazing building that defies expectations for its time. A beautiful walk up through its surrounding gardens unveil a gorgeous white marble foyer. We were fortunate to see the Christmas tree from the area being prepared to be delivered to Washington DC.

The Capitol is a wonder. The domed ceiling and all the nooks and crannies all have a story. It is all accessible to the public. The basement offers a self guided tour of the history of the building and each wing have every State Representative, Senator and Governor.

A beautiful building, rich in history. Walking around the capitol you can sense the territorial and state history and the power of government. Employees stop to say hi and offer advice, which is unheard of in most capitols.

I was disappointed that there are not guided tours available with less than 5 (I believe) people. So, our party of 3 took the self-guided tour, with me reading the visitor's guide in the most spectacular fashion. This really is a beautiful capitol building and a neat place to visit in Boise.

A nice place to visit for out of towners and newly arrived citizens. I have enjoyed many years of going through it and I have also had the pleasure of being part of groups who have had meetings there. The grounds are well kept and it is easy to get around in whether you have a physical disability or not.
