Start by going in at the ground level, which is also called the garden level. There are several displays and interpretive signs, as well as a gift shop that sells this and that, plus a lot of local books. We brought our teenagers here because...More

The staff working at the capitol were kind and welcoming. There was no problem getting into the building, seeing the governor's office, and the house and senate chambers.

We've visited a couple of different times while out of town guests visited. The capital never disappoints. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. It's always clean and there is so much to see with abundant history to learn. It's cool in the heat of summer...More

I was on a team of 6 teachers who are working to help occupational specialists gain certification to be educators. We met in the Lincoln Auditorium initially and then branched out to nearby buildings to conduct workshops. As always a pleasure to visit the capitol.

Gorgeous Idaho State Capital. Interesting history of building and renovation. Be sure and check out the 4th floor art made by trees removed when past renovations were done. Free admission.

Great place to observe the legislation process. Beautiful historic building in a very nice downtown environment. Parking is easy at non-legislative time periods.

This building is amazing. Incredibly beautiful and very detailed. My children even thought it was stunning. It's one of those places that just make you appreciate it. Go if you're close. It's a very easy walk from most of the hotels downtown.

Visited the capitol building for the first time today. It's quite majestic. I'm partial to California's capitol building in my hometown of Sacramento (CA) but this one is pretty, too.

I used to docent here years ago and am always amazed at the exhibit in the basement about the history of Idaho. It is one of the best ones I have seen. The mosaic great seal (designed by a woman!) on the floor adds a...More
