We wandered without agenda through this light and airy capitol. It was satisfying to hear how the recent (ish) remodel reopened the natural light... it really is a special feel. I wish the Stars and Stripes weren’t hogging the light in the rotunda, it spoiled...More

You realize this is a building for THE PEOPLE of IDAHO! A great place to take the family for one of their historic tours. The description of the updates and modernization are fascinating. It is a mini version of the US Capitol Chambers. So beautiful!...More

We decided to walk around and take photos of the outside and inside of the state capitol. There are tours, but we opted not to do this.

Such a beautiful building with wonderful history and a place to make Idahoans proud. We loved the architecture and statuary. Very cool to go to the Lincoln room and talk to State leadership.

Capitol renovated just a few years ago. Both functional and beautiful. Easy to visit, historical displays. Enjoy. Easy walk around downtown.

I visit the Capitol Building quite frequently and always find something I missed before. If you have never been take the tour. Also, if you are there during the legislative session stop by the gallery and watch.

Had a bit of time to kill while waiting for a friend so checked out the Capitol building. Walked around a little and then went below to visit the gift shop which has a lot of cool trinkets and local items.

Having been through Boise many times, we'd never laid over for a day to look at things. The capitol was close to downtown. Beautiful building. Really good descriptions, exhibits, and history write-ups. The legislature wasn't in session so we had it pretty much to ourselves....More
