The Boise Depot has been restored to the resplendent glory of the time when it was a major stop on the cross-country railroads. It's a great trip into the days when riding the train was the elegant way to go.

It is a bit bigger than you may think, a nice pond and landscaped area right out front. The building has a lot of history and is well maintained.

It's been many years since I rode through here on the train as a boy. We used to take trips often as my dad worked for Union Pacific. Beautiful restoration of the station and surrounding area. A great view of downtown Boise.

It was raining when we went, and we had the place to ourselves. The guide there was great; took us up the elevator into the bell area. Lots of original stuff inside building. The grounds are exquisite. GO!
