I live in St. Maries overlooking the St. Joe River. It is near and dear to my heart. From the crystal clear running rapids upriver to the lazy water flowing through St. Maries and into Coeur d' Alene Lake. What else can I say?

Fishing is my life and there is no better river than the St Joe! You also have to visit during the sprint boat races as well!

I have been going up the Joe for 30+ years and love it. Great fishing, tubing, 4 wheeling, hiking, or just relaxing.

This Lake/St.Joe river tour is a must. Lunch is included, and it is on Sunday only. Take's 6 hours, and takes you all the way across the Lake to St. Joe River half way up. It is a nature's experience and very interesting.

From the heart of the Bitterroots to Coeur d'Alene, one of the prettiest rivers I've ever seen. Lots of riverside RV spots from Adair to Calder. Looks like good fishing too.

Many places for dispersed camping depending on what part of the River you want to be on. BLM has a nice campground on the lower ST. Joe named Huckleberry. From I90, go south from Walace, great drive on good dirt and gravel... More

Yes. The water is not extremely fast and has some places that are shallow. I have floated it several times.
