Beautiful beach that seems to go on for miles. Nothing much going on at the moment as too cold but there was still a couple of hardy souls that were sunbathing. Would like to visit the beach in May/June when warmer and then give it a fair rating

Decided to leave the hussle and bussle of Venice for the day and headed over to the beautiful island of Lido (Blue route, Vaparetto 5.2 out / 5.1 return €7:50 per adult each way). Hired a tandem bike from Venice bike rental and cycled to the public beach (most of the coast line is privately owned) at the Alberoni end... More

Lido beach is probably what you expected. Not the most exciting beach with a lot street/beach sellers. But worth a visit.

Get away from all of the touristy stuff for a day by heading to Lido Beach and relaxing along the Adriatic Sea. Lido is a cool experience because, unlike the rest of Venice, there are actually cars and motorcycles! It feels like a different city.

Clean and quiet. Chairs are private and it is necessary to rent them. Still a nice way to spend a day with the family

Disgusting, disgraceful, I could go on.... My partner and I spent a wonderful 5 days, in and around beautiful Venice. We decided to spend one day on Lido, I have written another review raving about the main streets, tree lined, beautiful adorned with lovely shops, cafes and restaurants, and in particular the restaurant we lunched at for a few hours.... A nice beach with lovely soft sand. Could be kept a little cleaner. Water was a lot clearer than I expected but I still never went in the sea.

We went to Venice early april. The weather was great, and we decided to "take a break" from the normal citytrip routine and go to the beach on Lido Island. This proved to be a great experience which I would recommend to everyone. Great feeling to walk in the sea after a hot day in the city. Why not 5... More
