We had a fun visit to this area. We fished and camped out. Beware of the forest service campgrounds!!! There have been budget cuts and they have sacrificed on sanitation. The bathrooms beyond where the pavement ended were terrible. However, the remote nature of the distant campgrounds did have the appeal of not seeing anyone else. The Selway Falls campground... More

Beautiful river and the falls are a perfect place to watch salmon jump up the river. Drive to the end of the Selway River road (gravel), park and hike further upriver. Beaches and coves are good picnic spots.

Selway Falls is a must see. It is worth the drive and the wonderful scenery. Best time to see it is in the spring at high water. We drive up to once a year because it is so wonderful

The falls are a must see when you are in the area. They were spectacular at low water and we look forward to a return trip when the water it high.

The "falls" are not a huge deal but the scenery on the drive up were gorgeous. Watching the kayakers and rafters go down the river was fun, too.

This is one of those places that just can't be appreciated in photos, you need to see it. It isn't one big classic waterfall, but is a massive run of huge, powerful whitewater. The road is not paved all the way, but your average rental car will have no trouble at all (dirt road, not off-road). One of our Lochsa... More

especially in the late spring. Not as spectacular as the magnificent Palouse River Falls but still an experience I greatly appreciated having.

The falls are about 20 miles on a dirt road but were well worth the drive. Once there we hiked for several miles and played in the river with enough movement to be fun and yet peaceful.
