Be sure to watch the staff feed the fish with the hopper in the back of their pickup. They drive around the ponds and the automatic feeder flows feed out into the ponds for the fish to eat. It's a beautiful drive to the hatchery...More

A good example of Salmon recovery but you will see a bit of waste near the end of the season which bothers us. We think the fish not needed for roe should be sold to the public rather than being disposed of. Lots of people...More

The Idaho Fish & Game employees were great. We got a personal tour and a great education on how the facility work. This is still an outdoor hatchery. We were there just before they were ready to do spawning.

It's located right along the river. You can ask for a brief tour and watch the hatchery workers feed the fish. They seem to really focus on the sustainability of the fish and I enjoyed learning how they use the water from the river to...More

Learn something new about the differences between native and hatchery raised fish every time I visit. Quite an accomplishment in bringing fish back to the rivers of the North West.

Very close to town. It's free & gives you an up close look at all that is involved in fish hatchery. We stood & watched the little guys jumping out of water for several minutes. Would love to be there when they are released.
