Short, but hilly walk from the town center. Signs show you the way of you cant see it! You can see for miles, down the Wisla, the surrounding towns and the valleys below.

A place must visit on your trip plans to Kazimierz and Nałeczow. A ruins of an ancient castle ( you can hire a room in there! ) with stunning views over Vistula valey. If you are lucky you might spot a lonely figure starring at you, sending shivers to your spine!

The castle at Janowiec is part of the museums complex of the better known Kazimierz Dolny which is over the Wisła river. (A road train and ferry apparently link the two but I could find nothing in English to advise the timetable or cost). The Castle typically combines the features of both a castle and a palace. Substantial parts are... More

Our experience in janowiec calstle was very interesting.... Unfortunatly the castle is 3/4 in ruin but whith a museum and a beautiful view on the sourronundings and countryside. The visit include also the old villa were the owner of the castle was living. and the stable museum of country hardware .
